just bought part built locost

hi there, just purchased a locost. got afew questions

wanted: double carbs for 1600 cross flow, fast road cam

it doesnt run on unleaded fuel how have you lot over come this. also its built using ali skined wood sides, anyone else have one like this? does this not add to wait? can you no just removed the wood and weld in the ali? or rivet it ? any advice for the build, tips and tricks?
