It would pay to wait for the race regs to come out. There maybe some 30 minute races this year or that maybe
a rumour using last years races, if I can remember right, was 18 minutes. A lot smaller tank.

For a standard 13 minutes plus a lap race, a 2.5 gallon would be fine and leave you with well over three ltr you need left.

Hi i would suggest that a 4 gallon tank would be good. As that would do a 30 min race when it happens. Also when on some of the test days you get 30-45 min sessions and having to stop half way through costs time that's not on the circuit but spent re fueling.

The extra weight of the larger size tank is very little and you only need to fill it to what you require for your race on the day. And would save you having to buy a larger tank if they do decide to give us the 30min races we where promised. However with so many people moaning that thier tanks where not big enough despite a 1 year warning about the longer rases we might not see one  Sad.

HTH cheers Matt

At the season finally at Snetterton we also had the opportunity to enter the All-comers races for a small outlay.  This gave us an 18 and a 28 minute race which was a good taster for the longer sessions.  A rumour went around that one of the Locost which entered had to be allocated an area in the pit-lane for re-fuelling with the driver needing to vacate the vehicle for this evolution.  I imagine this would take a considerable time and therefore not a viable option if you're racing for the lead.
Moral of the story, fit the larger size tank and baffle it for shorter races   Smiley
