Hi

I'm interested in getting into motor racing and came across locost as a cheap way to start. Had a look around this site and the web but still have a few questions. When does the 2008 season start (or if its not confirmed when abouts)? Does anyone drive there cars to the race instead of tow? i know it would be a problem if u crashed it etc, but just wondered...

Also does anyone have the latest prices for starting to race (ie the race license, membership, race fees)? cant seem to find it on the main website (unless there's another one instead of 750mc.co.uk)

Edit: Also when does the season end? and is this the best time for buying a locost car? or if not a few people (on the forums) have said August/September is a good time, why is this?

Thanks

Dec

p.s great site you have here  Smiley!

Hi and welcome to the world of locost racing. Only a quick short reply as i am on my way out the door to snetterton but there is also some useful info on this site http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/ for relative costs and cars for sale ect. Hopfully some of the others will be along soon to answer most of your questions.

If you want to see some of the racing from onboard video there is some on our web site http://www.procomp.co.uk/

HTH cheers Matt

Hi Dec

If your interested in buying rather than building a car, mine is currently for sale 2006 no 78. (I'm changing Formula)

Reliable car built at the start of this year, room for development but still a mid field car as it is.
