You will probably need one or more of the following:

Understanding girlfriend
Understanding wife
Understanding partner
Understanding friends
Understanding parents.

And money.

Ben

To CAR, add engine rebuilds, spares package, tools, fibreglass etc etc etc.

You can do it Low Cost, but you'll be at the back of the grid unless you're prepared to spend around £2000 a year on top of the entry fees.

Most of the front runners are paying over £1000 for an engine, about £300 for a gearbox, plus test days etc.

Do not be fooled into thinking Locost means Low Cost; it's just a name.  You will enjoy it though, as long as you understand the costs before you start....

From my personal experience.  Do a complete thorough action plan and write down everything you will need to acheive, and when you expect to complete it.........

Then add a further ten Months and another 40% to your budget and you wont be far off.  It is very easy to get negative during your build but keep plugging and you'll get there and one day you'll be able to look back at it with pride. ......But what a Journey!! Cheesy
